Josie Taylor hailed from the Dallam area of Warrington, in 1966 at the age of 16, she auditioned for Noel Walker an A & R man for DECCA Records. She was offered a contract and picked a new name for herself Truly Smith.
This is her final release for DECCA, a little-known tune from the pens of Gerry Goffin and Carole King. She went on to become a teacher and, until recently was headmistress of a school in Northumberland.
